One of the objectives of the ElektroG2 (German Electrical Equipment Act) is the proper and environmentally friendly return of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The legislature hopes to increase the recycling and recovery rates by 5%. Transparency over the quantity flows shall also be increased by formalising and extending the quantity reports.
